TK 101: Trees & Baltimore

March 4 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

| Free

TK 101 Trees & Baltimore: paints a broad brush portrait of our city's trees and their critical role in urban environmental issues past, present, and future.  This class introduces you to the various non-profits that are doing good work with people, like your fine self, to green our city!

TK 101 Trees & Baltimore is now required towards Baltimore TreeKeepers Certification.  The certification process also includes your help on at least two tree planting events held by TreeKeepers nonprofit partners. Through a combination of classroom learning and field experiences, TreeKeepers-in-Training learn best management practices associated with tree planting and care. Once certified, TreeKeepers can receive special help from TK partners with trees in their own community.

Be a part of something greater than yourself. Our city trees will benefit from your volunteer efforts! Join the TreeKeepers and get involved in tree planting and tree care. Together we can build a healthy forest canopy that provides a multitude of health and energy-saving benefits for everyone.

  • ALL CLASSES AND WORKSHOPS ARE FREE WITH REGISTRATION AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.
  • ALL CLASSES WILL BE HELD IN THE STONE HOUSE AT PARKS & PEOPLE FOUNDATION
